NUST NET 2027: Dates, Test Pattern and Aggregate Formula

NUST has opened registration for NET Series-1 for its Fall 2027 intake. If NUST is on your list, this is the first test you can take, and it does not stop you from taking later series.

NUST lists a paper-based NET in Karachi around March 2027 as tentative. Later series follow in spring and summer; NUST confirms each one on its admissions site.

NET pattern for engineering

  • 200 MCQs in 3 hours
  • Mathematics 50%, Physics 30%, English 20%
  • No negative marking

Maths is half the paper. If your Maths speed is weak, that is where your first weeks should go.

Should you take NET-1 if you are not ready?

Usually yes. NUST runs several NET series each year and considers your best score. An early attempt shows you the real paper, the timing and your weak areas, with time left to fix them.

A simple plan from now to NET-1

  1. Weeks 1–2: Maths fundamentals. Functions, trigonometry, calculus basics.
  2. Weeks 3–4: Physics numericals by chapter, timed.
  3. Final week: two full 200-MCQ papers under 3-hour timing, then review every mistake.
