PIEAS Admission Test: Two Attempts a Year and Why Chemistry Still Matters

PIEAS is one of the few engineering universities that gives you two attempts in one admission year.

Test pattern (pre-engineering)

  • 100 MCQs in 3 hours
  • Maths 30, Physics 30, Chemistry 30, English 10
  • No negative marking

Unlike NUST, FAST and GIKI, Chemistry counts at PIEAS. ICS students take Computer Science in place of Chemistry.

Merit and eligibility

  • Written test (percentile): 60% of merit, academic record 40%
  • At least 60% in Matric/O-Level and Intermediate/A-Level
  • Candidates awaiting results can apply

Why the April test matters

The April attempt falls before board exams. Use it as a real test run: if it goes well, you have a strong result early; if not, you know exactly what to fix before July.
