Students often choose a university first and a field second. It should usually be the other way round.

How to choose

Ask what you enjoy solving. Code and logic point to Software or Computer Science. Circuits and systems point to Electrical. Machines and design point to Mechanical.

Check where the field is strong. Not every university offers every field, and seats vary a lot. Look at the programme lists of NUST, NED, FAST, GIKI and PIEAS before you apply.

Keep options open. Rank several fields on each application. A strong test score gives you choice; a narrow list can leave you with none.
